Dixon House

Scope of work

This seven-storey Grade II listed office building is undergoing partial demolition and the addition of three new floors including the building of Dormer windows and entablature formed of both new and salvaged Portland Stone.

Restore London were initially selected to carry out exemplar samples of nonintrusive, effective cleaning methods to the external façades. We recommended a
combination of Nebulous water sprays and a superheated washing system which produced excellent results.

Upon contract award, a fully detailed methodology was produced which specifically included a water run-off control and collection strategy. Developed by the Restore London’s Site team, this aspect was particularly successful and ensured that pedestrians could use the covered walkways at pavement level unaffected by the cleaning works progressing above them.
